Very professional. I installed a new roof and a new 20kw generator and everything went as planned. I am extremely happy with the process from start to finish. Every step was scheduled, and on time. I was kept informed throughout the entire process. Everything went so smooth from permits to installation and final testing. Glen explained each step and setup my expectations honestly and correctly. Glen guided me through the contract and was accommodating to my requests. The installers were excellent and kept a clean area. Karen guided me through appointments and inspections at each and every step. Always returned calls and spent as much time as needed to answer questions. The whole project could not have gone any smoother. The sales presentation was concise and informative. Very professional installation process, Green Sun took care of all aspects from municipal approvals to contractor scheduling, Along the way they kept us informed on every single step of the process via email and phone. They gave us the electrical and plumbing installation dates about three weeks in advance and everything came off just as they said it would. The contractors were courteous, friendly and very professional. All we had to do was sign the contract and they made everything happen. Couldn't be more pleased. Great experience from beginning to now over one year post-install. I decided to go with Green Sun after reading great reviews on various websites as well as feeling comfortable with Glen's industry knowledge and installation experience during our first meeting. I had already done quite a bit of research on solar so I was more concerned with finding a company that would strongly focus on proper installation and aesthetics and Green Sun came through on both. The installation team did a great job completing the entire project in one day even after being delayed by some snow. When finished, they left my property as clean as before they arrived and the installation looked great. I've seen some shoddy solar installations but Green Sun's attention to a clean design is apparent. Of course, functionally, everything has been great as well. The system has generated more than the conservative estimate I had received and I haven't had an electricity bill since. Don't waste your time looking anywhere else. You get what you pay for with Green Sun! Excellent communication through to completion and beyond. Each of their teams performed their work using the highest quality goods so all the solar panels, piping, electrical and plumbing looked extremely slick and neat. They worked with me on placement of the generator, panels and where in the basement to run everything through, even coming back to fine tune some of the work they had done. One of the inspectors for permit approval even added a nice job and a smiley face on the white approval slip. Timeliness and pride in their work was much appreciated. I was very pleased with the whole purchase and installation process. A generator installation requires both natural gas plumbing and electrical work and multiple Township inspections and approvals. Glenn Koedding is an excellent project manager. He kept the project on-track and kept me informed about the status of the installation. The gas and electric installers were very professional and completed their work on schedule. The Township electrical inspector remarked that the electrical work was well done. The price for the generator and installation was very competitive and the progress payments were documented and explained in advance. I was very happy with the job Green Sun has done and the communication they consistently provided. I met someone yesterday who was looking install Solar Panels and they mentioned how painful the sales presentation was (with a very high pressure approach). I told them I have had no issues with Green Sun and I have been very happy. Glen was very professional and informative in the presentation he gave. I also had a neighbor looking for Solar last year and tried to go with a competitor, but they kept delaying things with very inconsistent communication. Glenn and his team were awesome. From start to finish they were very responsive and didn't treat you like you were just another customer in line. We went back and forth a few times on various options before settling on a final design. Then the township delays began, but they helped us navigate those problems before and after installation! They did things in the installation I didn't even think of, such as ensuring all of the wiring was as hidden as possible. Now we look at other installations and notice those things that we wouldn't have liked to see on our house! After all the township delays it was finally time to turn it on. As with just about any technology it didn't work at first. But that same night I received an email with photo instructions on how to troubleshoot. Unfortunately that didn't work either, but they had someone out the very next day. Anybody can do your install, but how you are treated after they have your money leaves a lasting impression. Taking the leap into Solar can be intimidating and confusing. We reached out to Glen and a couple of other groups because we wanted to see if this made sense before the federal tax credit expires next year. Glen simplified everything for us. He has been doing this for a while and he has answers for all the common questions. Glen was very patient with us as we peppered him with questions (sometimes asking the same questions over again). After comparing quotes, Glen's numbers were reasonable and we decided to go with him because of the favorable reviews and the thoroughness with which he explained the process to us. From start to end the communication was excellent, we always knew where we were in the process (a lot of paperwork but they do it all for you). When it came time to do the installation, the crew came and finished everything in less than a day. They cleaned up after themselves and when they left the only remnants of their work were the panels on the roof. It was obvious this was not their first rodeo. Now on this sunny 90+ degree day with two air conditioners humming, I look at the meter outside and see my house if being fully powere by the sun ... it is a great feeling! If you are considering solar, I highly recommend Green Sun. They are a class act and the engagement feels more like a partnership than a contractor relationship. ...i have always been interested in renewable energy, but delayed going solar for many reasons...looking back, my concerns had no real merit…converting to solar makes total sense, especially in new jersey, but didn’t realize that until I did my research...being that i lacked the technical, financial and logistical knowledge regarding the solar business, finding a knowledgeable and reputable solar company was my top priority...i wanted to work with a solar company that had time to answer all my questions and a company that was rooted in the state/community where i lived...i figured and was correct, that the permit process would be much easier with working with a local NJ solar company…after scouring the regular sites that host reviews, i stumbled across highly rated, Green Sun Energy Services (GSES)...Upon reaching out to GSES, Glen Koedding immediately contacted me...after an initial exchange of concerns, thoughts and expectations, Glen was able to map out an outline that was not only affordable, but a plan that would enable me to mitigate obsolescence and optimize new and emerging technology…once I was finally convinced that solar power was not only environmentally desirable but it would eventually save me a significant amount of money, I asked Glen from GSES, “what’s the catch?”…being extra cautious on a major acquisition, I must have asked this question to Glen, perhaps a dozen times, up to and after signing the contract agreement…Glen would say, “there is no catch”…being the ultimate cynic, I would always have a little doubt…here I am 8 months later and happy to report, “there is no catch”…the installation went smoothly, federal tax credits, NJ incentives are either received or in place and my utility bill is now pennies on the dollar…Glen is super “user friendly” and has not only answered every question I had, he helped me choose the solar equipment that met my current and future needs…I would recommend Green Sun Energy Systems to anyone considering converting to solar energy…

They provided prompt installations along with step by step information about the installation process. The workmanship was very professional and courteous at all times. When the jobs were completed, there was extensive followup by Green Sun to be sure I was satisfied and offering maintenance service for my installations. It’s been just shy of year since we had Green Sun Energy Services design and install a solar array and a standby generator at our home. I’d been thinking about “going solar” for some time. I spoke with one or two other solar-install companies before speaking with Green Sun. Glen, Green Sun head-honcho, came to my home and discussed the technical and economic aspects of the solar array. In addition to being very personable, I found Glen to be professional and exceedingly knowledgeable. I liked that fact that rather speaking with a sales rep, I was speaking with an owner of the company. And I took comfort in the fact that Green Sun is local (at least to me) and has been around for a number of years, has done many solar installs, and has several regular crews of installers. After surveying the attic and taking some measurements of the roof, Glen worked up an estimate for a solar array and standby generator. The estimate detailed what the system would look like, what it could do, and what it would cost. A further and very important consideration for me was what the solar array would look like. Having just completed a significant renovation to the exterior of our home, including a nice new roof, I didn’t want to compromise the look we achieved. In fact, I didn’t want to see the panels at all, at least from the front or sides of my home. Glen assured me that I wouldn’t. In fact, unlike some other solar-install companies, it turns out that Green Sun always sets the panels back at least four feet or so from the side edges of the roof. They “get” it. Since the payout looked good and I was very comfortable with Green Sun and Glen, we decided to proceed. Since part of my project was a standby generator, the electrical work was a bit more involved. Glen’s electrical contractor was amazing. He was easy to work with and really sweated the details. He showed up when we he said he would, and did all the prep work he could in anticipation of the actual solar-panel install and generator delivery. He obviously took great pride in his work, making sure everything was neat and expertly done. No less impressive were the solar-panel installers. Per the layout, they moved a roof vent and took the time necessary to line-up everything in accordance with Greg’s plan. The install proceeded without a hitch and looked great. Inspecting the attic, I couldn’t find a single fastener penetrating the roof deck; every screw/nail was sunk into the rafters. As promised, no part of the array is visible from the front or sides of the house. In fact, in my situation, the solar panels aren’t visible until I stand quite a distance away from the house in the backyard. Glen’s plumbing contractor showed up to plumb the stand-by generator as scheduled. Like the electrical, everything was done professionally and very neatly. In fact, when the inspector came by to perform his inspection, he commented on how neatly the unit was plumbed. As noted at the outset, my system has been operating for about a year. Everything started up without issue. My monthly electric bill is just under $3.00 per month; that’s not for usage –it’s a minimum that must be paid─ I have actually been banking electricity every month, for which I will receive a check/credit from my electric company at some point. I have cashed in the solar credits (SRECs) that I receive every few months. Between the SRECs, my $3-a-month electric bill, and the 30% federal tax credit, I’m on track for a 6-year or so payout. Just a couple of weeks ago, during the April Nor’easters, the power in my neighborhood went out for 4-5 hours. But not at my house; the generator kicked on in a few seconds. My only continuing awareness of the outage was how dark things were outside and the audible, but inoffensive drone of the generator. Bottom line, I couldn’t be more satisfied. The few questions I’ve had have been answered promptly and cheerfully by Glen or his business partner Chris. If you are thinking about “going solar,” or even just getting a standby generator, you really ought to give Glen at Green Sun a call. By the way, I understand that the federal tax credit is being phased out over the next 4-5 years, so if you are interested, you probably should move on it. I realize that this might sound like an “ad,” not a review, but it isn’t. I have no connection with Glen or Green Sun other than being an extremely satisfied customer; this review is simply my way of saying “thank you” to Green Sun.

Service was excellent. They were very professional and kept us informed of everything. We did experience a little problem which they immediately addressed to our complete satisfaction. Every step from permits to final check & walk through was flawless. I actually signed the contract with Green Sun Energy for the generator before I closed on my home. Green Sun Energy handled every call and all the paperwork. I could not have been more satisfied. The owner, Glen Koedding, really kept me informed every step of the way. There were no surprises at all. The installation was right on schedule. We have since lost power a number of times and the generator has worked without any issues. I promised after Hurricane Sandy, I would never go without power again. When I bought our new home, I made good on that promise. Generator failed to start. Karen was able to set up a service appointment the next day. Michael arrived and knew what the problem was before inspecting the generator. Generator running again 10 minutes later. GreenSun installed our Generator app.11 years ago and has been performing serrvicing yearly. Glen,Karen And the entire staff are the best. From the beginning, he was comprehensive and detailed in his explanation of the product, responsive and informative about every question and concern, and professional and timely with the installation and all of the paperwork. I am still in shock - since our installation I have not had to pay a single bill to JCP&L -- every month I get a statement that I owe $0! And soon, I will be getting money back from NJ for my SRECs! This is a wonderful investment and has been a wonderful experience. I recommend this to anyone who wants to save money or make money by merely harnessing the sun that is out there! We sat down with 4 different companies, spoke to several more on the phone, and ultimately decided to purchase our solar system through Green Sun Energy Services. During the Q&A, Glen was very knowledgeable, patient answering all of the many questions we had, as well as explaining the many services they offer that other companies do not. Glen took us step-by-step through the process. EVERY aspect of this installation was done in a timely and professional manner. We definitely made the right choice. We now have a solar panel system that I feel was expertly installed and pleasing to the eye. Glen and Chris kept us informed during each stage, and everything was completed ahead of schedule. I have a stand alone nat gas generator. I have Green Energy do the maintenance on it. They are a great company. Reasonably priced. Great communication. Excellent company, excellent service! We've done a ton of research on solar, so we had lots of questions for every sales rep that stopped by our home. Unfortunately, many sales reps just followed a script and often did not know about the specifics of their equipment. We were willing to spend a little more money if we felt comfortable with the company or the sales rep, but none of the reps impressed us. Until we met Glen. He is one of the owners of the company--friendly and informative and knew all of the technical details that we wanted to know. Green Sun actually offered the best price, so it was a double win for us! Glen spent a lot of time going over things and tweaking our system until we were happy--we had researched many different panels used by different companies, so there were alot of questions on our side. He was very patient with us. After we signed the contract, things moved along quickly. Everything was very upfront and communicated well. Glen kept us constantly updated on when the panels would arrive, the workers, everything. Every contractor that showed up was very professional and neat. We paid after each portion was finished, as they had outlined in the beginning, so there was never any anxiety. The design of their system is very sleek--they move exhaust pipes so the panels line up nicely and the wires are hidden in our attic. It shows thoughtfulness and is extra work on their part to not have unsightly wires exposed to weather. We passed our inspection with flying colors and are very happy. 5 Stars We can’t say enough good things about our experience with Green Sun Energy Services.  My wife and I were looking to go solar and scheduled meetings with several different companies.  The representative from Green Sun was far more experienced, prepared, knowledgable, and helpful than everyone else we met with. He walked us through every aspect of going solar and the various options in great detail. We felt very confident with choosing Green Sun and they did not let us down.  Glen always had time to answer all my questions the whole way through the process and they delivered in every way.  We were also in need of a new roof and Green Sun’s roofer did an excellent job.  It was nice to only have to deal with Green Sun on both projects. The Solar installation is one of the best ones I have ever seen.   Green Sun took great care to move vents, attic fans, and pipes for the best aesthetic look possible.  When I asked their competitors what they would do about these obstacles on the roof, they said they would install the panels around them.  I have seen solar panels done this way, with awkward gaps and and a non streamlined look.  This is not what you get when you work with Green Sun. From our very first phone call, through the planning, the permits, the installation, to our very first SREC check, we are extremely pleased with Green Sun Energy Services and would recommend them to anyone.

We purchased a generator last October and it was installed by Green Sun Energy Services.    There were a few delays beyond their control (snow, town permits, technical problem with the actual generator), but I was so pleased with the professionalism of everyone I dealt with Glen, Karen, Jennifer, Chris and all the technicians who worked to install our generator. Early this morning I experienced our first extended loss of power due to a large tree falling in the area.  After a few seconds in the dark and some supernatural sounds, our generator powered right up.   Nine hours later power is still out but our generator is going strong. Green Sun Energy installed a Generac gas generator, that we absolute love! Glen from Green Sun is extremely professional, and kept us informed during the entire installation Their electricians and plumbers are top professionals as well, they left the house clean and even took there shoes off and cleaned up during and after the installation. They made the permits and approvals seamless, everything was handled with such professionalism. Have to say we had a 15 minute power outage today, and the generator kicked on within 10 seconds and the whole house had power, Wow, can't image life without a Green Sun Generator, such peace of mind. I couldn’t be happier with the services Green Sun Energy provides. They did such a great job installing our generator, after getting an electric vehicle I decided to have them install an EV charger in my garage. It’s been amazing! And Glen and his team at Green Sun made it so easy. The charger was installed in a perfect location and hardwired to my electric panel. They also made sure I had all the paperwork needed to file for reimbursements with the state and the electric company and I received the full amount allowed under the “make ready” program – $1,500.
